Adele - Herself

Laurie Blue Adkins was born in London in 1988, and began singing at age four, growing up for a time in Brighton. Moving back to London in 1990, Adele attended and graduated from the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. An early demo made its way to XL Recordings, and she soon after appeared in 2007 on “Later…with Jools Holland”.

Adele released her first single, “Hometown Glory” in October of that year. Her second single, “Chasing Pavements”, was released two weeks ahead of her debut album “19” in January 2008, and a star was born. Adele has sold over 100 million records and has received 16 Grammys, 12 Brit Awards, an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
