Rosemary Clooney: Legend of Song

Born in Maysville, Kentucky on this day in 1928, Rosemary Clooney began singing with her sister Betty on radio in Cincinnati before joining Tony Pastor’s big band and cutting her first record in 1947.Clooney became a regular on various radio and television programs through the 1950’s after scoring a major hit record in 1951 with ‘Come On-a My House”, produced by Mitch Miller.
