It’s time again for our Friday nudge, the encouragement we offer this time each week to explore the offerings of the art world.
This weekend, we recommend you log on to one of the many livestream music performances. There’s a virtual concert for every musical taste, from jazz to country to symphony music.
Here’s a round up of live performances to check out.
Beethoven in Heaven: A piano recital by Colin Stone
7 p.m. EDT Fri. Sept. 11
This recital by acclaimed pianist Colin Stone is a tribute to Ludwig von Beethoven, perhaps the most venerated and performed of all the Western classical composers. The concert raises funds for National Brain Appeal and celebrate Ludwig von Beethoven’s 250th birthday.

Augmented Reality Concert with Violinist Francesca Anderegg
West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts hosts this live performance with violinist Francesca Anderegg. For this program, Francesca will weave together music by contemporary and Baroque composers, each one representing a personal vision and unique subject.

Revelations in Rhythm (Live Tap Dance Concert)

The Winds of Heritage Dance Company celebrates the roots of Tap dance with “Revelations in Rhythm,” a virtual tap dance concert featuring Miami’s own Marshall Davis, Jr. and world renowned Tap Dancer/Choreographer Savion Glover.

Jazz by the Water
This free virtual concert celebrates the 17th annual Arts and Jazzfest NYC. The concert will be performed from the Triad Theater and live streamed on The On Channel. The concert features music by Bill Saxton, Chuk Fowler, Chuk Fowler, Cindy Lou Robinson, Clarence Spady, Eddie Allen and Friends, Emme Kemp and Friends, Finess, Joaquin Pozo, Joe Chambers and Rochelle Thomposon.
