Los Angeles: City of Angels

Los Angeles is a large metropolitan city that can offer a lot of things for people who would like to experience the art, culture, and lifestyle of the city. Los Angeles is home to a variety of museums, galleries, and art spaces.
A couple of museums that visitors can check out are the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Getty Center. LACMA is well known for its collection of art spanning six millennia, including paintings, sculptures, architecture, photography, decorative arts, drawings and much more.
The Getty Center is known for the Getty Museum which houses 17,000 works from around the world. It also has a program called the Getty Education Institute for the Arts which offers workshops and exhibitions for artists and scholars.
Another museum in Los Angeles is the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). This museum is dedicated to contemporary art from both international and local artists. It highlights both contemporary art movements as well as individual artists who have contributed to arts in Southern California.
Another cultural attraction that visitors can check out in Los Angeles is The Broad Museum. This museum has a large collection of 20th and 21st century art, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, photography and video. The collection spans many different genres and artistic styles. The Broad Museum also offers many different programs including live music performances and film screenings.
Los Angeles also has a lot of options for those who are interested in experiencing their culture through food. A few restaurants to try are Little Tokyo which has sushi and Japanese cuisine including ramen noodles and tempura vegetables. Another restaurant that visitors can try is Griddle Cafe which serves breakfast food all day long including pancakes french toast crepes and breakfast burritos. Visitors interested in trying Mexican food should visit El Compadre which serves dishes like breakfast burritos and tacos al pastor.
Los Angeles also has many parks to offer those who want to experience their culture outdoors. One park that visitors can check out is Griffith Park which provides hiking trails, picnic areas, horseback riding trails, golf courses, tennis courts, public swimming pools and other recreational facilities throughout the park’s 12 square miles.
