DAILY FUEL: Julie Andrews – Our Fair Lady

English actress, singer and author JULIE ANDREWS was born in Walton-on-Thames on this date in 1935 and began performing with her parents as a child. By age thirteen, she appeared in a Royal Variety Performance before King George VI. As she turned 19, Andrews made her Broadway debut in “The Boyfriend”, which was followed by appearances in “My Fair Lady” and “Camelot”. In 1964, she made her film debut in “Mary Poppins”, and international stardom followed. Over her career, she has received the Oscar, BAFTA, two Primetime Emmy, three Grammy and six Golden Globe Awards. She was made a dame (DBE) by Queen Elizabeth in 2000.
