DAILY FUEL: Jodie Foster – Craftswoman

JODIE FOSTER was born in Los Angeles on this date in 1962 and began modeling at the age of three, making her television acting debut on “Mayberry RFD” in 1968. After working in several series and films, Foster had her major breakthrough as the child prostitute in 1976’s “Taxi Driver”, for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In a career that would later encompass directing and producing, Jodie Foster has been awarded two Best Actress Oscars, for “The Accused” and “Silence of the Lambs”, three BAFTAs, three Golden Globes and the Cecille B. DeMille Award.
